I first met with Liz and Mark at a cosy Starbucks in a trendy Kensington area here in Calgary. They heard about me through one of my wonderful brides from last year – Carla (hugs!). Both Liz and Mark are very outdoorsy and love biking and hiking. Their wedding is scheduled for June here in Calgary so they wanted to have winter engagement photos done to get a nice contrast with green foliage of the summer. Well, contrast they got! Seemed like winter storms have been following us since we met – the day of our first meeting Calgary was issued a snow storm warning and we got the same warning the day we shot the engagement photos. 🙂
“I’m very serious, I don’t smile a lot” – warned me Mark as we walked along the path to Johnston Canyon in Banff. The next second he asked Liz to jump into his arms! That’s what I’m talking about! I love how petite Liz looks when she’s beside Mark and how her eyes sparkle when she looks at him. And I adore how protective Mark is of his girl, especially since Liz was sporting 3 inch heels in the snow. 🙂 They’re perfect together, in fact I found it interesting that I had quite a few photos from the session where they would even blink at the same time!
After playing in the snow in Johnston Canyon we headed back to Banff, specifically to the Irish Pub where we took more photos. What an amazing day! I cannot wait for your wedding this summer, guys!
Frozen waterfall in the Johnston Canyon, the water was unreal!
Liz, you look stunning!!
It’s all about attitude…!
Love this moment…

I LOVE this photo! You two look smoking hot!
I just love the colors they picked out for their engagement photos!
What a gorgeous couple!
Mark’s face in the left photo is priceless! I remember when I saw this photo on my screen as I was going through the images I laughed out loud! :):)
